When cricket met tech

As the IPL fever grips India, Hewlett-Packard India teamed with Compaq brand-champion Shah Rukh Khan to felicitate the Kolkata Knight Riders team in Kolkata.

And if you are wondering what tech and cricket have to do with each other, here’s news – tech plays a crucial role in sports these days with almost all players hooked on to all things tech!

And Knight Riders aren’t just sport icons, they are all enthu netizens too! They use their Compaq Notebooks to analyse their game and their opponents, to formulate strategies on their game plan, to check out match updates and expert analysis and even track competition online.

To live their passions off the field, Compaq gets them going from listening to music to chatting with family and friends to simply playing a refreshing computer game.

“As the team paves its way towards the crowning glory of winning the inaugural IPL T20 tournament, it’s heartening that Compaq is a partner in their success. Compaq helps them to get going – on and off the field, helping them as well as the team analysts to prepare for the game ahead. We wish them the very best for the tournament,” said Ravi Swaminathan, president – Personal Systems Group, Hewlett-Packard India.
