moment that cannot be reproduced

This picture is not related to any historical event, but it was taken in such moment that cannot be reproduced, and it seems unbelievable. It has been taken by Philippe Halsman, who made many portraits of famous people for Life magazine. The piece of art is called Dali Atomicus after Dali’s picture of his wife Leda Atomica, which appears on the picture behind the cats. It took twenty-six attempts and five hours to get this perfect picture. The chair on the left is being held by Dali’s wife, the three cats and the bucket of water was thrown in by Halsman’s assistants. Dali jumped up with his tools. Halsman and Dali worked together several times.

Pictures like these help us to understand things happened in our past or happening in our present. Sometimes it is painful to look at how terrible things people do with their fellow-men, sometimes it is delightful to see others happiness or jokes. There is many other picture I didn’t put here, but would perfectly fit this my topic.
